Spider Monkey Description: The spider monkey, belonging to the Atelidae family, is a new world monkey found in tropical forests from southern Mexico to Brazil whose name was inspired by their disproportionately long, spindly limbs. Able to use its long tail as a fifth limb, they are among the most acrobatic and agile of all monkeys.
