Harmony Kingdom has declared 2000 the Year of Living Large. Rounding out Harmony Kingdom's line-up of mid-year introductions is a new series of Box Figurines, the Roly Polys.
Harmony Kingdom continues its tradition of detailed and whimsical representations of animals with the Roly Polys. "These delightful box figurines portray the round and humorous side of life," says company president and co-founder Noel Wiggins. "Each is named in homage to celebrities known for living larger than life, both in character and in stature."
The Roly Polys are carved by Adam Binder and hand finished in England's Wimberley Mills. Each Roly Poly measures approximately 1¼" x 1¼" x 1¼". Made of crushed marble and resin, the rotund figurines look and feel like antique ivory. Roly Polys will not have version numbers.
Be sure to ask
your retailer about the very rare "Hard Body" Roly Polys
figurines. Fewer than 1100 of each was produced for U.S. sales, and in
some cases, only a few hundred. Each retailer that pre-ordered Roly Polys
via allocation received 1 mystery "Hard Body" per set of 12 box
figurines. The "Hard Body" Roly Polys have been sold out.
